Analyst I, Casino Analytics

As an Analyst I on the Casino Analytics team, you will convert data into insights that influence customer strategy, game strategy, and broader business decisions in a fast-paced digital setting. You will work closely with Product, Operations, Engineering, and other stakeholders to assess performance, spot opportunities across the customer and game journey, and support data-informed innovation. The role also involves building scalable reporting, evaluating experiments, and helping define how success is tracked for key initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Turn large volumes of data into clear insights that can be used to guide decisions and improve the customer experience.
• Work with Product Managers, Engineers, and cross-functional teams to align goals, establish success measures, and review performance.
• Study customer behavior, game outcomes, and business metrics to identify patterns, opportunities, and areas that can be improved.
• Plan, run, and evaluate A/B tests and other experiments to understand feature impact and support evidence-based decisions.
• Create, automate, and support dashboards, models, and reporting tools that monitor important customer, game, and business metrics.
• Present analytical findings in a simple, persuasive way that helps stakeholders act on the insights.
• Look for practical ways to strengthen customer experience, operational effectiveness, and overall business results.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, Business, or a similar discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience in business analytics or data science, gained through work or academic projects.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and Snowflake or another cloud data platform.
• Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Sigma, or similar analytics software.
• Basic knowledge of statistics, experimentation, hypothesis testing, and general data analysis methods.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with the communication skills needed to explain insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and perform well in a fast-moving, team-focused environment.

Additional information

This is a full-time onsite role based in Boston, MA. DraftKings is a publicly traded technology company headquartered in Boston. Because the company operates in regulated gaming, the selected candidate may need to obtain a gaming license from the relevant state agency as a condition of employment. The hiring team will help guide you through that process if it applies to the role.

The position offers a US base salary range of USD 64,000 to USD 80,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits where applicable. Pay within the range depends on location, skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Massachusetts law prohibits requiring or administering a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
