The firm represents providers in complex commercial and government payer negotiations and advises financial stakeholders on reimbursement risk in healthcare deals.
Position Summary
As a Payer Contract/Managed Care Analyst, you will serve in an entry-level consultant capacity supporting various contracting, analytics, data validation, and administrative projects for client accounts. This remote role collaborates with associates and principals to assist national healthcare clients and gain exposure to payer negotiations and reimbursement analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, review, organize, and manage payer contracts, fee schedules, W-9 forms, credentialing data, and related documentation.
- Maintain contract repositories with accurate version control and handle contract submissions including NDAs and requests.
- Track negotiation workflows and monitor contract status using Smartsheet, Excel, and internal tools.
- Validate various client data sets including claims, CPT volumes, and RVUs for modeling purposes.
- Assist in analyzing reimbursement trends, payer fee schedules, and rate discrepancies.
- Support development of payer proposals, models, and scenario analyses.
- Prepare internal reports and contribute content for client presentations.
- Join client and payer conference calls when necessary and document meeting summaries and action items.
- Work with senior team members to support negotiation strategies and prepare presentation decks.
- Ensure secure and organized storage of materials, maintain documentation standards, and aid process improvements internally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 2 years relevant experience in healthcare operations, payer/provider analytics, or consulting preferred.
- Strong organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Excel features such as VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and pivot tables.
- Capable of juggling multiple priorities and deadlines in fast-paced settings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with professionalism and discretion with sensitive information.
- Preferred experience includes internships or roles in healthcare provider, payer, consulting, or revenue cycle/analytics functions.
- Familiarity with CPT/HCPCS coding, fee schedules, or reimbursement methodology advantageous.
- Experience with Smartsheet, SharePoint, or project management software is a plus.
