Role Summary

Join Sephora Canada as a Financial Analyst on a full-time, year-long contract supporting financial forecasting, budgeting, business planning, and reporting. Your analyses will impact retail, e-commerce, and omnichannel strategies, ensuring accurate insights that inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and report generation.
• Update forecasts incorporating evolving trends and relevant factors.
• Compile monthly and quarterly financial statements, provide variance analyses with detailed commentary.
• Prepare both financial and non-financial reports including recurring results, forecast presentations, and one-off business cases.
• Contribute to month-end close procedures by creating variance reports promptly and accurately.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to collect financial data and understand business functions.
• Support special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business or finance, with foundational accounting and financial statement knowledge.
• 1-2 years experience in financial planning & analysis or financial reporting/accounting; experience in retail or consumer packaged goods sector is preferred.
• Hands-on experience managing a full budgeting cycle from setting goals to engaging stakeholders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships across various departments.
• Ability to set priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and sound decision-making abilities, including recognizing when to seek guidance.
• Proactive, motivated, and innovative mindset open to challenging conventional approaches.
• Proficient in Excel modeling and comfortable using financial systems, ideally SAP Business Objects.
• Familiarity with AI tools and technologies to enhance daily productivity.
