Job description
About the Firm
Lazard is a leading global financial advisory and asset management organization with a collaborative team of a little over 3,000 professionals. The firm emphasizes shared learning, professional growth, relationship building, and an entrepreneurial environment where different viewpoints are welcomed and can help shape the business.
Role Overview
The Equity Capital Markets group delivers conflict-free strategic and tactical guidance on equity-related transactions and capital raising options, as well as end-to-end deal execution. The team covers a broad range of market activities, including traditional IPOs, direct listings, follow-on offerings, PIPE transactions, equity-linked convertible bonds, block trades, and at-the-market offerings. In this role, you will also work across the firm with other teams, gaining exposure to varied industries and transaction types while contributing to small, high-impact deal teams.
Key Responsibilities
As an analyst, you will support transaction work by building financial models, performing in-depth analysis, researching companies and industries, and helping prepare client-facing presentations and marketing materials. The position also involves communicating with senior bankers and clients, contributing ideas with confidence, and supporting the team’s collaborative culture.
What You Need to Bring
This role is best suited to someone with strong analytical ability, rigorous attention to detail, and a high standard for accurate work. You should be comfortable creating presentation materials and financial models, working quickly and responsively, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating effectively in a close-knit environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important, along with academic strength, intellectual curiosity, and familiarity with AI tools and prompt engineering.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected base pay for this position is approximately USD 120,000 to USD 125,000 per year. Final compensation may vary depending on experience, tenure, education, certifications, relevant skills, and work location. In addition to base salary, the role may include comprehensive benefits and potentially incentive compensation. Lazard also offers a benefits package designed to support overall health, well-being, and work-life balance, while investing in each employee’s professional development.
Representation and Culture
Lazard is committed to building a diverse workforce made up of people with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. The company believes this strengthens decision-making, supports creative problem-solving, and helps it serve clients across global markets. Respect for individual differences has been part of the firm’s culture for more than 175 years.
