Job description

Role overview

The Analyst - Costing will play a key part in clinical costing support across Sidra Medicine. The position focuses on preparing monthly activity data, processing and reconciling cost models, and reviewing results to help strengthen costing accuracy and decision-making.

The role also contributes to improving HIS data quality, setting up processes, extracting and automating reports, and making sure cost capture aligns with costing needs. As more information is centralized, analysis and benchmarking of PLICS results will become an important part of the work. In addition, the role supports internal and external pricing activities, clinical coding information, and activity data captured within Sidra.

This position also helps generate data used for pricing decisions, provides insights into service costs, and supports understanding of clinical coding practices already in place. It further contributes to building costing knowledge across the organization through training and development support for both finance and non-finance teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead periodic processing of activity data used in Sidra’s costing activities, including review of inputs and outputs as the organization moves toward routine detailed clinical costing and ongoing clinical costing.
  • Prepare and interpret detailed cost reports and financial statements at both corporate and operational levels.
  • Allocate costs accurately across clinical services and departments within the Sidra PLICS model, following National Clinical Costing Standards.
  • Support the preparation, review, and reconciliation of cost reports between the PLICS system and other Sidra data sources.
  • Ensure that data capture meets reporting expectations, that data quality is suitable for costing, and that reconciliation checkpoints are completed.
  • Protect the accuracy and consistency of cost data through strong data management practices applied to patient activity datasets.
  • Use relevant software and tools to improve the efficiency of cost analysis work.
  • Support data automation and data collection processes to improve robustness, speed, and timeliness.
  • Assist in training colleagues on costing practices and financial management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Health Information, healthcare, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in finance or healthcare.

Additional information

This role involves support for pricing data, clinical coding information, and activity data used within Sidra. It also includes contribution to benchmarking of PLICS results as more centralized data becomes available. The position is based in Doha, Qatar and is a full-time onsite role.

Training and development

The role includes helping to build costing capability across Sidra, including support for learning and development initiatives for both finance and non-finance functions.
