Smartkarma also introduced pvtIQ, an independent research and data business focused on Asian private markets, launched in November 2025.

Role Overview

pvtIQ is hiring an Analyst – ASEAN Private Markets to support continuous research coverage of venture capital- and private equity-backed companies and sectors across ASEAN.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out in-depth research and publish impactful insights on ASEAN companies and industries backed by venture capital and private equity for institutional investors.
• Create and refine proprietary data trackers, metrics, and research frameworks to analyze business and industry trends, opportunities, and developments across ASEAN.
• Develop and sustain relationships with industry specialists, clients, and media contacts to strengthen primary research efforts and thought leadership.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in equity research, private equity, and/or venture capital markets.
• Strong interest in building expertise in Singapore and ASEAN private markets, including major companies and sectors.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality research and deliver investment-focused insights.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including experience engaging with senior stakeholders and clients.
• Entrepreneurial, forward-thinking mindset with comfort using AI tools to support research publication and the development of proprietary data and metrics.
