Job description
Overview
Amazon’s operations team is hiring an Amnesty Trainer to support fulfillment center leaders and associates in driving strong site performance. This position is suited to someone with a solid history of delivering results and helping teams work safely and efficiently. The role can also involve production work when needed, including picking and packing orders, receiving and stowing inventory, checking stock accuracy, and loading or unloading trailers.
Amazon describes this opportunity as eligible for a launch bonus. The stated bonus amount is $10,000 pre-tax.
Launch bonus details
- To qualify, the candidate must be based more than 50 miles from the launch site, measured from the home site to the launch location.
- The person must not have received another launch bonus during the current calendar year.
- The hire must occur within 30 days of first receive (FR).
- If accepted, the bonus is automatically paid out 3 weeks before the start date.
- The bonus may need to be repaid, on a prorated basis, if the employee leaves Amazon voluntarily or involuntarily within 12 months of receiving it.
- Repayment also applies if the employee is demoted, leaves before starting at the new site, or laterally transfers to another site within 6 months of launch.
Work environment and physical demands
Fulfillment center work can include a safety-focused environment with reflective vest requirements and expectations to stretch and recognize safe behavior. Dress is generally casual, as long as it meets safety rules. Noise and temperature can vary, even in climate-controlled sites, and hearing protection may be available. In some cases, the role may involve work on a secure mezzanine up to 40 feet high or the use of powered equipment such as a forklift or cherry picker. The job may require lifting up to 49 pounds and standing or walking for 10 to 12 hours, along with frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Role expectations
Amnesty Trainers are expected to communicate directions clearly, encourage associates, and help maintain safe work areas while supporting daily operations.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, including overtime when needed.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and shift pattern, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand or walk for shifts lasting up to 10 to 12 hours.
- Must be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- At least 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office products and applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
