AML Transaction Monitoring Specialist

About the Role

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. is seeking candidates for the position of AML Transaction Monitoring Specialist based in Chennai. This role involves working in the Anti Money Laundering (AML) domain, specifically focusing on transaction monitoring and level 1 investigations or onboarding processes. The position offers flexible shifts and welcomes applicants with varying notice periods, including those available within 0 to 90 days.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations of suspicious transactions and escalate them to the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) team as necessary.
• Detect and evaluate red flags during case reviews and take appropriate actions based on findings.
• Analyze customer transaction behaviors, comparing them against expected activity patterns for discrepancies or anomalies.
• Identify potentially suspicious activities and initiate escalation for filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) or Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR) when warranted.
• Maintain rigorous attention to detail and produce accurate, clear documentation of investigative actions and outcomes.
• Assess risk effectively and make well-informed investigative decisions to support compliance efforts.

Requirements and Candidate Profile

• Any graduate qualification is acceptable.
• Experience or knowledge in AML Transaction Monitoring, Level 1 Investigation, or onboarding processes.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset with excellent documentation skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize case escalation promptly in line with compliance standards.
• Flexible availability to work various shift timings as required by the organization.
