American Softwash is looking for a hands-on Service Technician in Des Moines, IA to join a fast-moving crew that takes pride in doing solid work, staying professional, and backing one another up. • Clean windows so they are left clear and polished.
• Use power washing equipment on homes, driveways, patios, decks, and fences.
• Remove gutter debris safely with ladders and appropriate protective gear.
• Install Christmas lights in a professional manner during the seasonal period.
• Travel between job locations, care for equipment, and follow all safety procedures.
• Provide a 5-star customer experience and handle every property with care and respect.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation are required.
• You must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident with a clean criminal background.
• You need to be drug-free, smoke-free, and maintain a professional standard of conduct.
• Ability to lift more than 50 lbs, remain on your feet for long periods, and work safely at heights.
• Strong attendance and punctuality are essential.

Schedule and Work Conditions

This is an onsite role based in Des Moines, IA. Occasional weekend and night shifts may be available during the season.

Selection Process

Applicants who move past the initial review will be asked to complete two follow-up steps within 72 hours of the request: a short video response exercise covering availability, experience, and safety; and a live fit/skills check, which may be an in-person interview with a brief hands-on assessment or a ride-along/field evaluation. These steps are used to confirm safe ladder use, lifting ability, and basic equipment handling.
