Role overview
The AMEA Rewards Director sits within Opella’s global organization and leads reward activities across Asia, the Middle East and Africa. The role also provides direct support to the Indian Nomination & Remuneration Committee (NRC) and advises Opella’s Global Digital, Science and Global Capability Centre (GCC) teams on reward matters.
Reporting into the Global Head of Rewards & Performance for CHC, this position is part of the Global Rewards Leadership Team and leads a team of two Rewards Managers. It calls for strong change leadership and deep knowledge across compensation, benefits, performance, recognition and wellbeing.
Based in Singapore, the role is responsible for helping shape and execute the AMEA reward agenda while ensuring business leaders and People & Culture teams receive practical and effective support.

Key responsibilities
The role covers team leadership, regional reward strategy, governance and specialist advisory support.
- Lead, mentor and build capability within the AMEA Rewards team, including the India & AMET Rewards Manager and the Asia Pacific Rewards Manager.
- Contribute to the global rewards strategy and represent customer needs as part of the Global Rewards Leadership Team.
- Help shape the AMEA people agenda as a member of the AMEA People & Culture Leadership Team, balancing regional business needs with global reward principles.
- Work closely with business leaders and People & Culture teams across AMEA, Digital, Science and GCC to provide high-quality reward guidance.
- Partner with the Indian P&C Director and the AMEA Regional People VP to jointly manage NRC relationships, meeting agendas and related documentation.
- Coordinate with the Global Head of Rewards & Performance to keep NRC discussions aligned with Opella’s global strategy.
- Support the design and management of the AMEA benefits approach in collaboration with the global benefits team.
- Track market practice in the fast-moving consumer healthcare space to support external benchmarking and continuous improvement.
- Oversee communication and governance for AMEA incentive arrangements, including the global bonus plan, management equity package, sales incentive plans and factory incentive plans.
- Drive the AMEA individual performance management process.
- Support international mobility processes across the region by sharing frontline insights with the International Mobility team.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in reward leadership or a closely related professional setting.
- Fast-moving consumer healthcare experience is advantageous.
- Proven ability to collaborate across countries, cultures and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical topics clearly to different audiences.
- Solid project management capability, numerical ability and technical skills, with hands-on experience using Excel and database systems.
- Experience working with remuneration committees or similar board-level structures is an added advantage.
- Good networking skills, business partnering ability and commercial understanding.
- Excellent fluency in English is required for effective communication with regional stakeholders.
