Ocoa Ambulance Service provides emergency medical transport with a focus on fast response, dependable support, and safe transfer of patients. The team works closely with hospitals and other healthcare facilities to make sure care is coordinated effectively during urgent situations.
Role Summary
The Ambulance Operator will handle emergency vehicle operation in a safe and efficient manner while contributing to pre-hospital patient care support. This position includes vehicle positioning for patient pickup and drop-off, assisting clinical staff during emergency responses, staying in touch with dispatch and medical facilities, and carrying out routine checks on the vehicle.
Key Duties
- Operate the ambulance responsibly and maintain safe driving practices at all times.
- Position the vehicle to support secure loading and unloading of patients.
- Assist medical staff during emergency response calls.
- Keep communication open with dispatch teams and healthcare facilities.
- Carry out regular vehicle inspections and basic readiness checks.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in emergency services with a solid grasp of daily operations is required.
- Clinical training such as EMT, Paramedic, or similar preparation is considered an added advantage.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving history are necessary, along with the ability to drive emergency vehicles safely in different traffic and weather conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities are important for this role.
- Working knowledge of basic vehicle upkeep and safety practices is expected, along with a strong commitment to operational and regulatory compliance.
