Role Overview
We are seeking energetic and dedicated individuals to join our airport team in Kununurra as Airport Services Officers. This role involves delivering professional and customer-centric security screening services at the airport, ensuring safe and positive travel experiences for all passengers and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the safety, security, and integrity of airport premises, aircraft, and travelers.
- Implement consistent and standard screening procedures in compliance with legal requirements to screen passengers and their belongings.
- Manage and facilitate an efficient flow of passengers through security checkpoints.
- Exhibit clear communication skills and sound judgment in decision-making.
- Control and monitor access to secure areas within the airport.
- Perform physical searches of passengers and baggage when necessary.
- Provide exceptional customer service consistently.
- Carry out routine cleaning duties in terminal facilities and associated buildings.
- Maintain professional personal appearance and represent SWEK suitably at all times.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (AV120118) is essential.
- Possession of a valid Red Aviation Security Identification Card.
- Successful clearance of an acceptable National Police Check.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service in complex situations.
- Capability to handle conflicts calmly and achieve appropriate resolutions.
Salary and Benefits
Successful candidates will receive an annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $89,999, inclusive of allowances and superannuation, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
- Six weeks of annual leave.
- 12% employer superannuation contribution, with an option for matching employee contributions up to an extra 5%.
