About the role

The Airport Operations Control Center Officer supports the smooth and safe running of airport activity by coordinating operational data, stand allocation, and live flight information. The role focuses on keeping systems and stakeholders aligned with real-time airport operations and ensuring that contingency actions can be activated when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Assign parking stands at Hamad International Airport through the Gate Management System while respecting safety restrictions and handling traffic demand.
• Process and verify daily flight data for the current operational day and the following day within the Airport Operational Database.
• Maintain the Airport Operational Database by recording operational changes for a window extending from the day of operations through the next six days.
• Track data movement across AOCC systems to preserve accuracy and data quality for stakeholders and airport users.
• Oversee AOCC systems and related interfaces to protect shift continuity and trigger contingency actions when necessary.
• Monitor the Electronic Visual Information Display System and staff information systems to ensure reliable performance and correct passenger information.
• Follow radar, ASMGCS radar, VHF aeronautical frequencies, and airport updates to provide Ten Miles Out and actual landing times to stakeholders.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification, has completed airport or airline operations training such as passenger, ramp, or cargo courses, and brings at least four years of relevant experience. Prior exposure to aerodrome operations, ground handling, or an airline operations setting is required.
