About the Role
The Airline Partnerships Officer plays a crucial role in executing the airline's Frequent Flyer Program (FFP) partnership strategies. This individual is responsible for overseeing key operational processes, collaborating with partners to ensure smooth functionality, and managing campaigns aimed at expanding partnership growth. A strong emphasis is placed on automation to enhance the member experience continuously. The role involves working with administrative platforms such as Ariba, the Global Distribution System, managing legal contracts, and engaging with both internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and onboarding airline partnership strategies, coordinating closely with the line manager, internal stakeholders, and external partners from an operational and administrative standpoint.
- Support the launch and development of airline partnership initiatives to drive incremental revenue growth in collaboration with the line manager and alliances team.
- Monitor and report on essential partnership performance metrics including member engagement, redemption rates, and commercial results, providing actionable insights to management for optimization.
- Oversee the monthly billing and reconciliation process for travel partnerships, ensuring timely invoice settlements by coordinating with internal and external parties and resolving disputes.
- Initiate and manage regular meetings with partners and internal teams to support business development and promote marketing activities.
- Contribute to system enhancement testing to improve operational processes, collaborating closely with the projects team to deliver travel partnerships projects.
- Coordinate with vendors and partners regularly to improve processes and address system issues or bugs.
- Document and analyze file exchange processes, highlight discrepancies, and work towards process automation solutions.
- Support accrual processes by monitoring and processing relevant files, working alongside the line manager to meet objectives within prescribed service level agreements (SLAs).
- Manage day-to-day operational requirements from member services and partners, ensuring timely and tactful resolution of member queries within agreed SLAs.
- Ensure thorough documentation of all processes and system integrations to maintain business continuity.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, information systems, or related fields.
- 3 to 5 years of experience working with loyalty programs, ideally within the aviation sector.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate with various stakeholders effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Proficient in data analysis and problem-solving with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with airline and loyalty management systems is advantageous.
