Job Overview

We seek a seasoned Airless Spray Painter with extensive hands-on experience in industrial and structural painting. The role involves applying paint and protective coatings to steel and concrete bridge structures using airless spray equipment, along with manual painting using rollers and brushes when spray methods are unsuitable.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform airless spray painting on bridge structures, steel constructions, and other infrastructure assets.
• Apply protective and finishing paint coatings using airless spray tools.
• Use rollers and brushes for painting areas not suited to spraying techniques.
• Prepare surfaces through cleaning, scraping, sanding, and other necessary processes before painting.
• Mix paints and coatings conforming to manufacturer guidelines and project standards.
• Maintain proper paint thickness, coverage, and quality finishes.
• Apply primers, intermediate layers, and finishing coats correctly.
• Complete touch-up and repair painting tasks as needed.
• Ensure cleaning, upkeep, and trouble-shooting of airless spray equipment.
• Adhere strictly to approved procedures, project specifications, and safety measures.
• Safely work on scaffolds, raised platforms, and bridge structures.
• Collaborate with supervisors and painting teams to meet project timelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organize painting tools and equipment meticulously.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience as an Airless Spray Painter.
• Proven expertise in industrial, structural, or infrastructure painting.
• Mandatory proficiency with airless spray painting equipment.
• Practical experience using rollers and brushes for painting tasks.
• Experience in painting large steel structures, bridges, viaducts, or infrastructure projects is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of surface preparation and protective coating application processes.
• Ability to interpret basic paint/coating specifications and application instructions.
• Capability to work safely at heights and in outdoor/project environments.
• Good knowledge of health and safety standards related to the workplace.
• Physically fit to endure extended work periods on construction and maintenance sites.
