About the Role
This position is for an experienced, practical aviation maintenance professional to join the Engineering and Maintenance function. The role focuses on keeping Boeing 787 aircraft and other fleet types safe, compliant, and ready for service.
Key Duties
- Carry out maintenance, repairs, and inspections on Boeing 787 aircraft, along with other aircraft types as needed.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, engines, components, and structures in line with approved manufacturer manuals and documents.
- Inspect and certify scheduled maintenance work, defect rectification, modifications, structural repairs, and functional testing of airframe, engine, and electrical systems.
- Lead, guide, and supervise line maintenance teams in a time-sensitive environment to reduce aircraft downtime.
- Encourage a strong safety culture and ensure incidents and occurrences are recorded in the Safety Management System.
- Troubleshoot technical issues to keep aircraft in operational condition.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant has strong hands-on line maintenance experience, works well under pressure, and can supervise teams effectively. The role requires someone with the qualifications, certifications, and documentation needed for aircraft maintenance approval and compliance.
Required Documents
- A valid GACA, EASA, or other civil aviation authority B1 aircraft maintenance license.
- Original Boeing 787 Type Training Level III records covering both practical and theoretical training.
- Maintenance experience records for the last five years, signed and stamped by the MRO or operator quality assurance department.
- A recency letter from the current employer, and previous employers if relevant, showing work scope and duration, signed and stamped by the MRO quality assurance department.
- Copies of current and previous operator or MRO certification authorisations.
Additional Requirements
- Minimum qualification of a diploma or certificate.
- At least 8 years of experience in line maintenance.
- At least 2 years of recent experience certifying Boeing 787 aircraft.
- Boeing 787 Type Rating Level 3.
- Appropriate police security clearance for the role.
