About the Role

We are seeking an Airdrop & Yield Hunter to discover, evaluate, and document new cryptocurrency protocols, testnets, and yield-generating opportunities. In this role, you will serve as the firm's primary source for insights into Decentralized Finance (DeFi) and emerging blockchain ecosystems. Your responsibilities will include identifying projects likely to offer token airdrops, rigorously testing their functionality, and producing clear, step-by-step guides for internal use. You will also track and optimize returns from existing yield strategies, such as staking, lending, and liquidity provision. This position does not require coding expertise but demands proficiency with crypto wallets, testnets, bridges, and fundamental DeFi operations. Prior personal experience with claiming airdrops or farming yield makes you an ideal candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Airdrop Identification: Proactively monitor various channels including Twitter, Discord, Telegram, newsletters, and forums to pinpoint potential airdrop opportunities across new Layer 1/Layer 2 networks, DeFi protocols, NFT projects, and infrastructure tools.
• Testnet Participation: Engage in testnet environments, execute defined tasks such as conducting transactions, performing swaps, providing liquidity, and participating in governance voting. Document the requirements for potential mainnet token rewards.
• Yield Strategy Tracking: Maintain a curated watchlist of high-yield opportunities across prominent DeFi platforms, including lending protocols (e.g., Aave, Compound), liquid staking solutions (e.g., Lido, Rocket Pool), decentralized exchange (DEX) liquidity pools (e.g., Uniswap, Curve), and restaking protocols (e.g., EigenLayer, Karak).
• Step-by-Step Documentation: Develop concise and easy-to-follow guides for each identified campaign, detailing the process of interacting with specific protocols on testnets, enabling replication by other team members.
• Wallet & Gas Management: Efficiently manage multiple cryptocurrency wallets for farming activities, meticulously track gas expenditures, and ensure positive net returns. Provide clear reports on cost versus expected value.
• Risk Awareness: Identify and flag potential scams, honeypots, and protocols exhibiting malicious intent. Maintain an up-to-date internal risk register.
• Results Tracking: Systematically log all claimed airdrops, earned yield, and associated expenses (gas fees, bridging costs, platform fees). Deliver weekly summary reports to the operations and treasury departments.

Who You Are

• Proven Airdrop Participant: You have successfully claimed at least two significant airdrops (e.g., Arbitrum, Optimism, Aptos, Starknet, EigenLayer, zkSync, or comparable projects). Please specify these in your application.
• Experienced Yield Seeker: You have actively utilized DeFi protocols to generate yield on your cryptocurrency holdings through staking, lending, liquidity provision, or restaking. You possess a solid understanding of concepts like APY versus APR, impermanent loss, and slashing risks.
• Organized & Methodical: You are capable of managing over ten wallets simultaneously, meticulously tracking transactions in spreadsheets, and adhering to structured test plans without confusion.
• Proficient with Bridges & Multiple Chains: You have experience bridging assets between various blockchain networks such as Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Solana, and others. You understand the implications of gas fees and transaction confirmation times.
• Naturally Curious & Skeptical: You possess an innate drive to explore new projects while maintaining a healthy skepticism to avoid falling for common scams. You diligently verify contract addresses and assess project legitimacy before connecting your wallets.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of personal cryptocurrency experience, including active participation in testnets or airdrop farming.
• Demonstrated ability to create clear guides or document processes, evidenced by personal blogs, Notion pages, or detailed notes.
• Familiarity with blockchain explorers (e.g., Etherscan, Arbiscan) for transaction verification.
• Basic proficiency in spreadsheet software (Google Sheets or Excel) for tracking financial data.
• Fluent written English communication skills for producing internal documentation.
• No prior professional experience is mandatory, though a background in Quality Assurance (QA), research, or community management would be advantageous.

Nice to Have

• Experience with automated tools or scripting for repetitive tasks.
• Understanding of wallet fingerprinting techniques and anti-sybil measures.
• Active engagement in Crypto Twitter or DeFi Discord communities.
• Management of a personal cryptocurrency portfolio with active farming strategies.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual Base Salary: Ranging from $46,000 to $66,000, determined by relevant experience.
• Performance Bonus: Potential for bonuses based on the success of airdrop claims and yield optimization outcomes.
• Gas & Tool Budget: A monthly allocation to cover transaction fees and subscriptions for premium tools (e.g., Dune, Nansen, AlphaGrowth).
• Token Grants: Opportunity to receive token grants from successfully farmed airdrops, with a portion retained or equivalent cash value provided.
