Aircraft Tradesperson (NDT)

Role Overview

As an Aircraft Tradesperson specialising in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), you will be responsible for inspecting engine components using approved procedures and customer requirements after initial induction training. This role requires adherence to a safety-sensitive environment, including medical assessments and drug and alcohol testing.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform NDT tasks on engine parts in accordance with approved data and company standards.
• Learn and apply various NDT techniques necessary for engine part processing.
• Utilize computer systems to document and maintain records of completed inspections.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

• Trade qualification at NZQA Level 4 or equivalent in Aviation, Automotive, Mechanical, Heavy Diesel, or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience in aviation maintenance.
• Ability to legally work in New Zealand.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

• Experience with penetrant process lines in an engine shop environment.
• Familiarity with the V2500 or GTF engine models.
• Strong manual dexterity and hand skills.
• Proficient computer literacy.
