Job description
Job purpose
Emirates Engineering operates from Dubai as a major aircraft maintenance centre, approved by the GCAA CAR V, and provides support to Emirates’ Airbus and Boeing fleets as well as a number of third-party airlines. The team covers maintenance, engineering, quality, planning, and logistics, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and high standards.
In this position, you will perform maintenance work on aircraft and aircraft components for Emirates and external airline customers, following company rules and regulatory requirements. You will work as part of a team and report to the assigned Licensed Aircraft Engineer, carrying out tasks within the trade or cross-trade disciplines for which you have been trained.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled aircraft, engine, and component servicing, maintenance, and approved structural repairs in line with manufacturer procedures and safety requirements, including fluid servicing, refuelling support, and aircraft systems charging as needed.
- Perform component changes and other assigned maintenance work under the direction of the immediate supervisor, using the appropriate maintenance manuals and technical documents such as AMM, IPC, and CMM when required.
- Support Licensed Aircraft Engineers with troubleshooting, defect correction, and modifications, and follow the instructions entered on the job card.
- Help build a strong safety culture by reporting hazards, reducing accident risks, maintaining good housekeeping, and ensuring work areas, vehicles, stands, lockers, and toolboxes remain clean, organised, and free of foreign object debris.
- Keep up to date with airport safety rules, maintain the required Airport Driving Permit, and remain compliant with manoeuvring area procedures.
- Work with the supervisor on performance management and development planning through the MyBC system, including training and future learning needs.
- Respond quickly to assigned tasks to make the best use of ground time and reduce delays, obtain aircraft or component status updates from the Licensed Aircraft Engineer, and communicate defects or shift-handover information clearly and on time.
- When needed, use your aircraft maintenance experience to support resource allocation through RMS and RTC.
Experience and qualifications
This role requires more than 5 years of engineering experience. A graduate qualification of 12+2 is expected.
You should have completed an apprenticeship in aircraft maintenance, or have equivalent training from a reputable airline or approved aircraft maintenance organisation, or hold an Engineering Aircraft Maintenance License.
Salary and benefits
Emirates offers an attractive tax-free salary along with travel benefits, including discounts on flights and hotel stays worldwide.
