Key Responsibilities
- Drive and support the air product and commercial strategies in coordination with the Country Product Manager and commercial teams.
- Assist in evolving the organization towards a product-focused approach.
- Customize and implement global air freight plans to suit local market dynamics and operational aspects, directing commercial strategies and guiding sales on key lanes, targeted accounts, and pricing tactics.
- Continuously monitor profitability and gross margins by trade route, client, and product to enhance margins, optimize cost, and promote service upsells.
- Ensure adherence to global core carrier compliance policies.
- Manage pricing duties for product-related inquiries, including RFQs and tenders.
- Maintain and update the product tariff framework within the global pricing system.
- Provide precise pricing information to sales teams and clients, ensuring effective follow-up.
- Support sales through customer negotiations to secure additional opportunities.
- Develop strategic plans for less profitable lanes and clients to boost profitability.
- Independently perform analytical tasks to devise accurate pricing models increasing customer profitability.
- Communicate agreement statuses with clients, sales, and operations teams.
- Oversee the annual price adjustment processes.
- Continuously analyze and improve pricing structures and procedures.
Candidate Profile
- At least 3 years’ experience in air product or pricing roles preferred; 3–5 years in the logistics industry is advantageous.
- Strong customer-service orientation with a high level of accountability and ownership.
- Proactive self-starter able to work independently without need for close supervision.
- Deep understanding of pricing strategies and bid procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English both spoken and written.
- Proficient in multitasking under deadline pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proven analytical, negotiation skills, and a constructive hands-on approach.
- Competent in Microsoft Office (especially advanced Excel functions), familiarity with CRM systems is advantageous.
- Positive, professional demeanor when interacting by phone and email with colleagues and customers.
- Results-driven and persistent with a passion for continual improvement.
