For a long time, those interactions were frustrating on the consumer side: long waiting times, automated menus, repeated explanations, and advice that often missed the mark. Natural-language support for customers has been rare, but AI is changing that. Businesses can now hold real conversations with customers at scale, and this is becoming essential across industries such as energy, telecom, and insurance.
telli helps B2C companies build, launch, and continuously improve AI voice agents that speak with customers at scale. Companies such as Sky already use telli to run thousands of voice agents and create a better customer experience. While building a first voice agent is relatively straightforward, turning it into something that drives real business outcomes is much harder. telli is focused on solving that problem and aims to become a leading company in this next major software category.
The team is small, highly AI-driven, and focused on solving difficult problems. Across engineering, product, and go-to-market, the company works quickly, experiments often, and makes heavy use of AI models. Team members are expected to take ownership, stay curious, challenge themselves, and contribute without ego.
About the Role
This opportunity is ideal for someone at the beginning of their career, such as a recent graduate, who wants direct exposure to startup operations, customer work, and the practical scaling of AI products.
As an AI Operations Intern, you will work closely with the founders on customer onboarding, agent development, and customer success. Your contribution will help clients get value from telli and will support the systems and processes needed to grow efficiently.
What You Will Do
Customer ownership and operations
- Support pilot accounts and help customers go live with AI agents.
- Handle customer communication, respond to questions, and solve straightforward issues.
- Monitor agent performance and customer health indicators.
- Assist with customer workshops and training sessions.
Agent development
- Help create and improve AI agents together with the team.
- Support the design of workflows for onboarding and pilot management.
- Use automation tools such as n8n and Zapier to improve internal efficiency.
- Capture best practices and build playbooks and documentation.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Turn customer feedback into useful input for product and engineering.
- Take on operational tasks that help the company scale.
- Prepare materials for customer meetings and internal team discussions.
- Step in wherever needed to keep projects moving.
