Job description

About the Company

Acclime supports organizations operating across Asia’s varied markets with practical, hands-on expertise. The group works across 18+ markets and has a team of more than 2,000 professionals covering accounting, tax, fund administration, corporate secretarial, payroll, and advisory services. It is currently the fastest-growing firm in its sector. With backing from Warburg Pincus and operating in a high-growth, buy-and-build phase, the organization places strong importance on timely, accurate, and clearly understood financial reporting across a complex network of entities and currencies.

Role Overview

You will join a regional team that is expanding and will serve as an important contact point for clients and internal stakeholders. The position offers a fast-moving, collaborative, and engaging environment where you can strengthen technical finance knowledge while also building your professional network and business understanding.

Opportunity

Group Finance is creating an AI-supported analysis function powered by Anthropic’s Claude to help the team review, summarize, and quality-check financial reporting from across the group. The team is seeking a numerate and inquisitive intern to help build, test, and put these workflows into practice.

This is a practical role where finance meets applied AI. You will work closely with Group Finance to turn complex, multi-jurisdiction reporting into organized, dependable analysis, while helping define how a PE-backed organization can adopt AI responsibly within a controlled finance setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and prepare financial reporting inputs such as management accounts, consolidation files, board packs, and entity-level P&Ls and balance sheets so they can be reviewed consistently by Claude.
  • Create, test, and improve prompts and workflows for variance analysis, management commentary drafting, KPI extraction, detection of anomalies and outliers, and comparisons across periods or entities.
  • Develop simple supporting tools such as Excel trackers, templates, or basic scripts to move data into and capture results from AI workflows.
  • Build and maintain a reusable library of tested prompts and standard workflows that the broader finance team can use.
  • Review AI-generated outputs carefully, verify them against source numbers, and identify cases where the model is not dependable.
  • Help establish usage guardrails, including where AI is appropriate, what must remain under human review, and how sensitive information should be managed.
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis and reporting assignments for the Group Finance team.

What You Will Learn

  • How a PE-backed, multi-jurisdiction finance function operates in practice, including consolidation, board reporting, KPIs, and control processes.
  • How to apply large language models in a live finance environment, including prompt design and evaluation methods.
  • How to balance speed and productivity gains from AI with accuracy, governance, and data confidentiality requirements.
  • Direct exposure to senior finance leadership and the group’s reporting cycle.

Requirements

  • You are currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data/Business Analytics, or a closely related discipline.
  • You have a solid understanding of the core financial statements: profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow, and are comfortable working through management accounts.
  • You are confident using Excel and structured data, and you pay close attention to accuracy and detail.
  • You are genuinely interested in AI or generative AI and are open to experimenting, refining your approach, and learning quickly.
  • You can communicate clearly in written English and explain analytical findings in simple terms.
  • You take a careful, security-conscious approach when handling confidential financial information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with prompt engineering or practical use of Claude or other large language models.
  • Basic Python or scripting knowledge for tasks such as cleaning data or automating simple processes.
  • Exposure to consolidation, multi-entity reporting, or multi-currency reporting.
  • Interest in professional services, fund administration, or PE-backed business models.

AI Usage Principles

AI is intended to support the finance team rather than replace professional judgement. Any AI-assisted analysis must be treated as a draft and reviewed by a qualified team member before it influences decisions or external communication. You will help ensure these tools are used in a way that is accurate, traceable, and aligned with the group’s confidentiality and control standards.
