Role Overview

This position is suited to an experienced Quantity Surveying professional who can handle detailed measurement, cost control, material planning, contract administration, and bill verification for construction projects in Bengaluru.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out precise quantity measurements and take-offs to maintain accuracy across project records.
  • Assess, compare, and introduce alternative construction materials where they improve cost efficiency, performance, sustainability, or risk outcomes.
  • Plan and schedule material purchases in the required quantities for each project stage.
  • Cross-check quantities mentioned in the Bill of Quantities (BoQ).
  • Review drawings and designs against the BoQ from the developer’s perspective.
  • Raise material quantity requirements with the purchase team.
  • Prepare and maintain all reports in soft-copy format.
  • Check whether the material consumed on site matches the billed quantities.
  • Reconcile purchased quantities with invoices and bills.
  • Spot project risks and opportunities and support mitigation planning.
  • Draft, execute, and manage contractual documents such as tender papers, technical specifications, and contract conditions based on the quantity analysis.
  • Examine and certify vendor bills and invoices.
  • Monitor site execution and contract compliance across the full project lifecycle to ensure contractual obligations are followed.
  • Handle amendments to contracts, including documentation and approval requirements.
  • Support final contract closure after project completion, including final payments and all required paperwork.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
  • The role calls for 16 to 19 years of experience in contract management and quantity surveying, specifically with shuttering works in the construction sector.
  • Candidates should have a proven record of managing quantities and costs for shuttering activities on large-scale projects.
  • Strong analytical and numerical ability is needed for accurate take-offs and cost estimation.
  • Working knowledge of construction management software and related tools is expected.
  • Applicants must have strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • The ideal candidate will be detail-focused, well organized, and able to prioritize work and meet demanding deadlines.

Additional Information

This opportunity is based in Bengaluru, India. The compensation stated for the role is INR 20,00,000 to INR 25,00,000 per year.
