Role Summary
The position as MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Mall Technical Head involves overseeing the technical aspects of MEP systems in mall and retail maintenance projects. This role manages installation, testing, and maintenance activities ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee supervision and execution of MEP, DG set, substation, electrical, and mechanical maintenance operations including departmental technicians, contractors, and labor on-site.
- Diagnose and resolve engineering challenges related to electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Monitor project costs and verify that specifications meet approved design standards at the project location.
- Conduct detailed reviews of project drawings to ensure design compliance.
- Perform regular site inspections and audit the work of contractors handling electrical and mechanical services.
- Ensure thorough testing procedures such as air conditioning duct leakage and other relevant tests are performed as required.
- Participate actively in project meetings related to site progress and mechanical service concerns under the guidance of the MEP or Head Project Manager.
Candidate Profile and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC Engineering.
- Residency in Gurgaon is preferred for accessibility and effective team leadership.
- Strong leadership capability to manage large teams of electrical and mechanical engineers.
- Highly driven, motivated, and results-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Possess a sense of urgency, high energy, and professional demeanor.
- Familiarity with high-rise building systems, energy technologies, green building concepts, and high-performance designs.
- Insight into MEP construction processes and subcontractor management, especially electrical and control systems.
- Knowledgeable about energy efficiency, performance contracting, and building management systems.
