About the Role

TechFlow is searching for a skilled Agile Project Manager to join a critical Department of Defense (DoD) software development and modernization initiative based in Montgomery, Alabama. The program focuses on delivering sustainable, scalable, and secure software solutions to maintain and enhance vital government systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and update Agile project tools facilitating backlog management, sprint planning, task tracking, release scheduling, and reporting.
  • Coordinate Agile workflows across diverse teams to ensure tasks are organized, prioritized, and aligned with program goals.
  • Track project progression, highlight risks, dependencies, and obstacles, and collaborate with leadership to mitigate them.
  • Maintain Agile metrics such as sprint burndown charts, velocity, and release readiness indicators.
  • Produce automated dashboards and detailed reports from approved Agile tools to provide timely insights on program status.
  • Work closely with government clients, Product Owners, and technical staff to clarify requirements, refine backlogs, and manage any changes in scope.
  • Ensure traceability among requirements, user stories, tasks, testing, and delivered features.
  • Lead risk identification, mitigation approaches, issue resolution during sprints and releases.
  • Advocate Agile best practices and continuous enhancement by fostering transparency and collaboration.
  • Support planning and review meetings such as sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Prepare status updates, executive presentations, and performance summaries for management and stakeholders.
  • Keep project documentation, schedules, and Agile artifacts current and compliant with program standards.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Current Agile certification (e.g., CSM, SAFe Agilist, PMI-ACP) maintained during employment.
  • At least three years managing Agile projects supporting DoD software development or modernization efforts.
  • Proficiency with Agile platforms like Jira, Azure DevOps, or other government-approved tools.
  • Demonstrated experience handling Agile backlogs, sprint organization, tracking, and reporting.
  • Strong grasp of Agile frameworks, Scrum methodology, and software development lifecycles.
  • Skilled in designing project metrics, generating dashboards, and preparing executive reports.
  • Excellent organizational, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

  • Support experience with U.S. Air Force software projects.
  • Managing multiple Agile teams in complex software initiatives.
  • Knowledge of DoD's Software Acquisition Pathway.
  • Exposure to DevSecOps and continuous integration/delivery environments.
  • Understanding of risk management, requirements traceability, and software release processes.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, Jira dashboards, and Azure DevOps Analytics.
  • Possession of Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
