Role Overview
The company is seeking a bilingual professional who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute in a fast-moving and highly professional workplace. This role supports air export customer service operations and is intended for candidates currently living in Singapore only.
The position focuses on delivering strong service to both internal teams and external customers while helping the department meet its goals for freight booking, shipment collection, and shipment monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will manage customer interactions, coordinate export shipments, and ensure smooth operational follow-up throughout the freight process.
- Respond to incoming calls quickly and courteously.
- Process air export shipment bookings through multiple communication channels.
- Address customer questions and provide freight quotations by email when needed.
- Enter all required OPA/Air Lateral data into ETMS accurately and without delay.
- Follow GDP/GDPMDS rules and directives for pharmaceutical and healthcare shipments.
- Share flight information promptly and keep customers updated on freight movement.
- Secure customer rate approvals and raise F2F / BCR before the shipment leaves.
- Track uplift and transit progress to support on-time delivery and flag delays or offloading to shippers and destination offices using Workboard.
- Create and update customer-specific SOPs in a timely manner.
- Maintain a strong understanding of customer profiles and handling needs to ensure full compliance and consistent customer satisfaction.
- Handle complaints and enquiries with urgency, offering practical solutions and recovery support where possible.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit reports within required timelines.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Department Supervisor or Manager.
Requirements
Candidates should have a tertiary qualification along with 3 to 5 years of relevant industry experience. The role also calls for strong technical, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Minimum tertiary education.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Comfortable using computers and email systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good problem-solving ability.
- Strong written and spoken English.
