Job description

Role Overview

Ryder is hiring an afternoon dispatcher for its London, Ontario location. This is a full-time, on-site position with a Monday to Friday schedule from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Compensation and Schedule

The annual salary for this role is between 43,000 and 45,000. The shift is in the afternoon, and the position follows a weekday schedule.

Role Summary

The dispatcher will provide administrative support to the department while helping coordinate day-to-day operational tasks.

Key Duties

  • Prepare and send customer billing on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Build tailored reports according to customer needs and review inbound and outbound reports for accuracy
  • Handle routine office work such as ordering supplies, entering data, maintaining office equipment, and managing vendor records
  • Create work schedules, track employee schedules, and maintain time cards
  • Coordinate customer inventory counts and help resolve inventory-related issues
  • Set up new accounts in the warehouse management system, test for accuracy, and troubleshoot system problems
  • Support hiring, training, and performance management for direct reports
  • Organize staff meetings, training sessions, and company events
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

Education

A high school diploma or GED is required. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
