Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Afternoon Cleaning Porter at Bay Centre, Victoria, working 3:00PM to 11:00PM. You will ensure cleanliness and sanitation of designated areas, maintain equipment, and perform other assigned duties to enhance client satisfaction.

Key Duties

• Thorough cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking men's public and staff washrooms on a scheduled basis.
• Sweeping and mopping hard floors while keeping entrance mats tidy.
• Responding promptly to spill cleanup requests.
• Sanitizing elevators, entrance glass doors, steel surfaces, and high-touch points.
• Managing waste disposal tasks on loading dock including compactor and recycling stations.
• Maintaining accurate daily work and safety logs.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A positive and proactive attitude.
• Experience in commercial cleaning considered a plus.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment such as vacuums, wet vacuums, carpet extractors, floor machines, and hand tools is beneficial; comprehensive training provided.
• Ability to safely operate cleaning machinery.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations and Workplace Hazardous Materials.
• Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Successful clearance of a criminal background check.
