Role Summary
As an Adventure Park Specialist, you will maintain daily interactions with guests and participants, guiding and instructing them on the correct use of safety gear and assisting with a variety of adventure park activities. This includes teaching guests skills to safely engage in outdoor sports like climbing walls, rope courses, and zip lines. The position involves outdoor work focused on ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.
Responsibilities
- Correctly fitting safety harnesses to guests
- Conducting safety briefings and providing instructions
- Monitoring clients continuously while they navigate courses
- Verifying that safety devices are properly secured
- Ensuring clients follow usage instructions for courses
- Offering assistance as needed during activities
- Retrieving clients from courses using ladders and specialized climbing equipment
- Maintaining the park by tasks such as painting safety cables, tightening platforms, and adjusting activities
- Performing landscaping duties such as pruning
- Carrying out basic maintenance of gear and equipment
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Adventure Park Specialist
- Experience with rope courses or zip lines; comfortable with heights
- Genuine enthusiasm for adventure park activities
- Strong interpersonal skills and enjoys working with people
- Basic knowledge or experience with rock climbing or rope work (preferred but not mandatory)
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification
- Possession of a current internationally recognized First Aid/CPR certification
