TITLE: Adventure Officer

DESCRIPTION:

Role Overview

G.H. Raisoni University, Saikheda is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Adventure Officer to oversee adventure sports, outdoor education initiatives, and student engagement programs.

Location

Saikheda, Madhya Pradesh

Qualifications and Experience

The position requires a graduate degree in any discipline and at least 5 years of hands-on experience in adventure sports or outdoor activity management. Candidates with a background in the armed forces are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and supervise adventure camps, trekking trips, and outdoor learning activities.
  • Run activities including trekking, camping, cycling, swimming, rock climbing, rappelling, zip-lining, and team-building exercises.
  • Drive adventure campaigns and initiatives focused on student leadership development.
  • Carry out risk evaluations and maintain adherence to safety procedures.
  • Oversee adventure gear, event logistics, and emergency readiness.
  • Coach and guide student adventure clubs and activity teams.
  • Work with internal teams and outside partners to ensure camps and events are executed smoothly.

Skills and Competencies

  • Leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Strong verbal communication in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
  • Practical understanding of safety norms and risk control in adventure activities.
  • Ability to respond promptly in emergencies and make sound decisions.
  • Good physical fitness and readiness to travel for camps and outdoor programs.

Preferred Background

Prior experience in adventure sports, outdoor education, NCC, Scouts & Guides, the armed forces, or adventure tourism will be valued. Additional certifications in First Aid, CPR, rescue operations, mountaineering, or similar areas are an advantage.
