Advanced Practice Physiotherapist - Musculoskeletal Therapy Spines

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and innovative Physiotherapist to deliver expert clinical care and lead within the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Therapy and Spinal Orthopaedic teams. As part of a dedicated team, you will contribute to a high-performing service focused on collaboration with clinical and MSK Allied Health Professional leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of high-quality therapy within designated clinical pathways.
• Operate as a first-contact clinician in consultant outpatient settings to diagnose conditions, screen for serious pathology, and manage patient pathways through surgery scheduling, referrals to consultants, or conservative treatment options.
• Provide expert clinical care involving advanced reasoning and offer continuous support to team members.
• Lead clinical development and mentorship initiatives for staff within the specialty.
• Drive evaluation and enhancement of clinical practices, aligning with national and local guidelines.
• Advance evidence-based practice through audits, clinical effectiveness assessments, and research support.

Service and Team

This role is within the MSK Care Group, which delivers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services for Sheffield's adult population, encompassing Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, Pain Management, Metabolic Bone, Hand Centre, MSK Therapy Services, PhysioWorks, Staff Physiotherapy, and Podiatric Surgery units.
