Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist

Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated full-time Adult Psychiatrist to become an integral part of our inpatient behavioral health team, working in a well-equipped and steady environment.

Key Duties

• Provide psychiatric care to patients in a 30-bed adult mental health inpatient unit.
• Manage care across various specialized units including Mental Health, MICA (Mentally Ill Chemical Abusers), and Gero-Psychiatry.
• Collaborate closely with hospitalists, specialists, and community healthcare providers.
• Engage with a multidisciplinary team comprising counselors, therapists, case managers, nurse practitioners, and fellow psychiatrists to ensure holistic, patient-focused treatment addressing medical, psychiatric, and social aspects of care.

Required Qualifications

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry.
• Possession of a valid DEA license.
• Active medical licensure in the state of New York.
