About Family First Adolescent Services

Located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Family First Adolescent Services is a behavioral health treatment center dedicated to supporting adolescent boys ages 12 to 18 and their families in healing, growth, and reconnection. Since opening in 2014, the center has specialized in addressing complex mental health, behavioral, and substance use challenges with a trauma-informed, evidence-based framework. Their personalized treatment plans target both apparent behaviors and underlying causes for each teen.

Comprehensive Care Model

  • Clinical therapies including individual, group, and family sessions using CBT, DBT, and EMDR techniques.
  • Academic support to keep teens on track with education or career readiness during treatment.
  • Experiential and holistic therapies such as adventure therapy, equine therapy, CrossFit, and outdoor activities that enhance physical, mental, and emotional health.
  • Continuing care with up to 12 months of alumni support post-discharge to help maintain progress and resilience.
  • Ongoing family involvement aimed at healing family dynamics and providing parents with tools to sustain change.
  • All programs operate within safe, welcoming residential environments designed for community and therapeutic focus.

Position Overview

The Admissions Specialist acts as the initial contact for families seeking adolescent care. This role requires empathy, strong organization, and efficient management of the admissions process, guiding families during important and sensitive moments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address inquiries quickly via phone, email, and digital platforms.
  • Perform initial screenings and collect clinical and demographic data.
  • Educate families and referral partners about the programs, admissions criteria, and services.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to arrange suitable placements.
  • Verify insurance coverage and clearly explain financial responsibilities.
  • Keep precise records using CRM and EMR systems.
  • Provide continuous support and follow-up throughout admissions.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with referral sources.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years experience in admissions, intake, or similar roles in behavioral health or healthcare settings.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Capable of managing sensitive situations with empathy and discretion.
  • Strong organizational capabilities with great attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with CRM/EMR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with working hours from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, including weekends.
