Job description
Role overview
The Admissions Officer will take ownership of the complete student admissions pathway, beginning with the first enquiry and continuing through enrolment and the handover to families. The position calls for a strong working knowledge of how the school operates in practice so that information shared with prospective parents is accurate, transparent, and consistent with school policy, capacity, and available resources. Excellent customer service is a key requirement.
Because the school is scheduled to open for the first time in September 2026, much of the admissions work will happen before the campus is fully operational. This means the role will rely heavily on remote communication, online presentations, and virtual admissions processes during the pre-opening stage.
Key responsibilities
- Run the admissions workflow end to end and make sure every stage is completed carefully, consistently, and in line with school procedures.
- Serve as the main contact for prospective families and provide clear, accurate, and truthful guidance about the school’s structure, offering, and admission conditions.
- Organize and deliver school tours, including online meetings and virtual presentations before opening, and approved on-site visits only at permitted times and with the necessary health and safety controls.
- Coordinate visit timings with faculty and leadership, confirm appointments with families, and ensure all tours happen strictly by prior arrangement.
- Manage the distribution of admissions content, including images, videos, and digital assets, and use materials from the sister school appropriately where the facilities and design are identical.
- Work with the School Leadership Team to verify available space and make sure admission decisions reflect staffing, class structure, and resource limits.
- Track admissions patterns and alert leadership early when demand suggests capacity pressure or the possible need for an additional class.
- Carry out thorough pre-admission checks, including reviewing documents, background information, and confirmation of financial commitments.
- Partner with English as an Additional Language and Special Educational Needs specialists when handling applications for students needing extra support, ensuring capacity and procedures are respected.
- Make sure families understand all expectations clearly, including any additional services and related charges where relevant.
- Keep oversight of all information sent to prospective families so that it stays accurate, aligned, and consistent with actual school practice.
- Review and update promotional and admissions materials so they remain current throughout the pre-opening and opening periods.
- Use and maintain digital admissions systems, keeping data accurate, compliant, and ready for reporting.
- Compile admissions data and present it to leadership to support planning and decision-making.
- Lead onboarding for new families and coordinate the sharing of practical information ahead of opening.
Experience, skills, and attributes
- Experience in a school admissions position is strongly preferred.
- Strong client-facing, organizational, and communication abilities are essential.
- A high level of attention to detail, process discipline, and comfort with multi-step procedures is required.
- Confidence using digital platforms for virtual admissions and engagement is important.
- The successful candidate should be proactive, adaptable, and collaborative, especially in a startup school setting.
- Native-level English or very strong fluency in English is required.
- Ability to communicate in Arabic is a major advantage.
Start date
The Admissions Officer needs to be in position by May 2026. Earlier availability is preferred and will be viewed favorably.
