About SPARTAN
SPARTAN, the Spondyloarthritis Research and Treatment Network, is a North America-wide collaboration of healthcare professionals dedicated to advancing the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of spondyloarthritis. The network supports clinical and translational research, educational activities, and awareness efforts focused on these inflammatory rheumatic diseases. It connects clinicians, researchers, and other stakeholders to exchange knowledge and proven practices that help improve patient care. The organization is supported by educational grants from organizations and companies with an interest in spondyloarthritis and related areas.

Role Overview
This is a full-time remote administrative position. The Administrator will oversee daily office coordination, including scheduling, meeting and event organization, correspondence management, and upkeep of records and databases. The role also provides operational support to leadership and committees through logistics coordination, document preparation, and communication with members and outside partners.
Core Duties
The Administrator will help coordinate educational programs, support grant-related reporting, and carry out basic bookkeeping tasks such as processing invoices and tracking expenses. Additional responsibilities include assisting with annual meeting logistics, working with vendors to keep website and mailing list content current, responding to inquiries in a timely manner, and contributing ideas that improve internal processes and workflows.
Qualifications
- Well-developed administrative and organizational skills, including managing calendars, arranging meetings, and handling documents.
- Comfort using office productivity tools and systems such as MS Office, QuickBooks, virtual meeting software, and basic database or CRM platforms.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills, with the professionalism needed to work with healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.
- High accuracy and careful attention to detail in record maintenance, reporting, and data entry.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work with limited supervision.
- Prior exposure to event support, educational programming, or professional associations is advantageous.
- Background in healthcare, research, or non-profit settings is helpful but not mandatory.
- Post-secondary study in administration, business, health sciences, or a similar area, or an equivalent mix of education and work experience.
- English is required; French and/or Spanish are an advantage.
- Limited travel may be needed.
