About the Role

The Stanislaus County Office of Education is seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to support the Hearing Conservation program within Special Education. This full-time position is located at 1350 Stonum Road, Modesto, CA, and involves providing varied administrative assistance to the assigned department under the supervision of a manager. Key duties include organizing office activities, managing communications flow, and safeguarding sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to relieve supervisory workload.
  • Coordinate office operations and maintain smooth communication channels within the department.
  • Ensure confidentiality of privileged and sensitive data.
  • Schedule and prepare for clerical testing as applicable.

Required Qualifications

  • Successful completion and attachment of EDJOIN Classified Application SCOE Administrative Assistant I Test certificate or higher-level clerical certificate.
  • Equivalent to graduation from high school plus at least two years of progressively responsible administrative experience.
  • Post-secondary coursework in business office management or related fields is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license may be necessary.

Employment Details

  • Work schedule: 185 days/year, Monday to Friday, 6 hours daily from 7:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
  • Hourly pay range: $24.12 to $29.77, with external hires capped at Step 3 ($26.97/hour) initially.
  • One vacancy available.
  • Employment is full-time and onsite.

  • The benefit entitlement for health, dental, and vision coverage correlates with hours worked per day (minimum of 4 hours daily required).
