Position Overview

The School of Leadership seeks adjunct faculty to facilitate student achievement consistent with program requirements in both undergraduate and graduate courses. Teaching may occur online, in-person, or in hybrid formats across multiple degree programs, including Accounting (BSBA), Applied Technology (BAS), Business Administration (BSBA & MBA), Human Capital Development (MS & PhD), Industrial Engineering Technology (BS), Instructional Technology and Design (MS & PhD), Logistics, Trade, and Transportation (MS), and Organizational Leadership (BSBA). Many courses are fully online, while some have both online and face-to-face delivery options.

Primary Responsibilities

• Delivering courses either online or face-to-face, ensuring adherence to academic goals.
• Timely preparation and submission of syllabi, grades, and all related course documents.
• Clearly communicate course expectations and requirements to students.
• Comply with policies and procedures of the School of Leadership, College of Business and Economic Development, and the university.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

• Master's degree in a field relevant to the courses taught.
• Completion of at least 18 graduate-level credit hours or substantial documented professional experience in subject areas such as management, accounting, finance, or marketing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills ensuring clarity and timeliness.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with fellow faculty members.
• Competency in utilizing learning management systems like Canvas and proficiency with technological tools such as Microsoft Office.
• Expertise in teaching methods suitable for diverse student populations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous university-level teaching, mentoring, and service experience.
• Familiarity and experience teaching online courses.
• Relevant professional field experience related to assigned subjects.
• Experience with the Canvas learning platform.
• Doctorate degree in a pertinent discipline.

Additional Information

Applicants must have current full-time work authorization in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship; the university does not provide visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B visas). The position is part-time and does not involve grant funding. The location is at Gulf Park, 730 East Beach Boulevard, Long Beach, MS. This posting remains open until filled.
