Job description
About the Role
Oceania Healthcare is focused on improving the experience of retirement living and aged care, with every position contributing to better outcomes for residents. This permanent, full-time opportunity sits within the Finance team and is suited to someone who wants meaningful work where their accounting skills have a real impact.
Role Overview
In this position, you will manage accounts receivable for a group of care homes and retirement villages. The role involves accurate resident invoicing, efficient collection activity, and high-quality service to residents and stakeholders. It will suit someone who enjoys relationship-building, problem-solving, and working in a busy, team-oriented environment.
Key Duties
- Handle resident billing, invoice generation, payment receipting, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain precise resident financial information in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Prepare payment runs and process refunds and credit adjustments.
- Look into and resolve accounts receivable questions from residents and other stakeholders.
- Track overdue balances and assist with debt recovery follow-up.
- Partner with village, care home, and support office staff to keep billing records accurate.
- Support month-end reporting, reconciliations, and general finance administration.
- Help improve accounts receivable processes and ways of working.
- Follow Oceania’s health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
What You Need to Bring
You should have prior experience in accounts receivable, finance, or credit control. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is strongly preferred, and background in aged care, retirement living, or healthcare would be an advantage. The role also calls for strong accuracy, good organisation, the ability to juggle multiple priorities, and a proactive mindset for resolving issues and improving processes. Clear communication, confidence working with different stakeholders, intermediate Excel ability, and comfort using finance systems are also important.
Why Join Oceania
Oceania offers a purpose-led workplace where people care about the residents they support and about one another. You can expect a collaborative team culture, the chance to develop your career, competitive pay and employee benefits, and the opportunity to make a positive impact every day.
Additional Information
Applications are invited from experienced accounts receivable professionals who value accuracy, enjoy delivering excellent service, and want to contribute to an organisation that makes a meaningful difference. Oceania does not accept unsolicited CV introductions from recruitment agencies and is not responsible for any fees arising from unsolicited referrals.
