About the Role

CTB Solutions is hiring an Accounts Receivable Caller in Chennai for work related to insurance claim follow-up, denial management, and patient account support within a healthcare billing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact insurance providers by phone to check the current status of claims.
• Review claim rejections, exceptions, and exclusions, then work toward resolution.
• Examine and understand Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements.
• Record collection activity clearly and accurately for follow-up purposes.
• Track and pursue overdue claims according to standard billing timelines.
• Research denied claims and submit appeals where needed.
• Respond to patient questions about balances and account charges.
• Ensure all handling of patient information follows HIPAA rules and company confidentiality standards.
• Coordinate with the billing team so invoices and bills reach the correct recipients.
• Keep current with updates to insurance policies, processes, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required; additional education in a related field is considered beneficial.
• Prior AR calling experience is preferred, though it is not compulsory.
• Good working knowledge of medical insurance types such as HMO, PPO, Medicare, and Medicaid is important.
• Familiarity with medical terminology as well as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding is needed.
• Comfort with MS Office, data entry, and medical software is expected, with software exposure being an advantage.
• Strong verbal communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Careful attention to detail and the ability to analyze insurance EOBs are required.
• A professional approach and a consistently positive service mindset are important.
• Willingness to keep learning about healthcare laws and compliance requirements is necessary.
• Respect for patient privacy and strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines are mandatory.
• The role requires the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Eligibility

Applicants from any graduate background can apply. Candidates with experience in AR calling will have an advantage, but fresh candidates with the right skills may also be considered.

Compensation

The role offers an annual salary in the range of INR 175000 to 250000.
