Role Overview
Etqan Global Academy in Doha, Qatar is seeking an Accounts Assistant focused on accounts receivable to support the school’s finance operations. The position involves handling student, parent, and staff payments, maintaining accurate records, supporting fee collection, and delivering courteous service to the school community.
Key Duties
- Accept and record cash, cheque, and digital payments for tuition, co-curricular activities, school events, and field trips.
- Keep financial documentation current and correct, including receipts, invoices, deposit slips, and collection summaries.
- Carry out bank reconciliations by matching internal records with bank statements and resolving any mismatches.
- Track overdue balances and issue reminders to help recover outstanding fees on time.
- Prepare daily transaction summaries, revenue reports, and other finance updates requested by the Finance Manager.
- Handle refunds accurately and respond to fee-related email queries in a timely, professional manner.
- Follow school procedures and Qatar financial rules relating to cash handling, payment processing, and confidentiality of financial information.
- Work closely with administrative teams, teachers, and school leaders to keep financial processes running smoothly.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant will have a background in finance or accounting and be comfortable working in a busy school environment. Strong accuracy, sound communication, and a customer-oriented manner are essential.
