Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time, on-site Accounts Payables specialist based in Doha. This role is responsible for processing supplier invoices, verifying supporting documents, and ensuring transactions are accurately and promptly recorded within the accounting system. Duties include preparing and reconciling vendor statements, assisting with expense report preparation, and supporting month-end close activities by entering payables journal entries. The position also requires resolving invoice/payment discrepancies, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and maintaining organized documentation to support audits and internal control processes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient knowledge of accounting principles with hands-on experience in accounts payables and journal entry processing.
• Capable of managing and reviewing expense reports meticulously for accuracy.
• Strong analytical capabilities to reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and contribute to financial reporting.
• Experienced with accounting software and MS Excel, including spreadsheet functions and basic formulas.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent disciplines.
• Previous experience in the contracting, construction, or allied industries within Qatar is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of handling a high volume of financial transactions efficiently.
• Good communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
