Key responsibilities

The Accounts Payable Analyst focuses on employee travel and expense reviews, corporate card compliance, and core accounts payable activities. In this role, you will help keep financial records accurate, support month-end close, and improve operational workflows through better processes and automation.

  • Review and approve employee travel and expense reports, including corporate card activity, to confirm policy compliance and proper documentation.
  • Act as the main contact for employees with questions about T&E policies and report submissions.
  • Work with colleagues across the company to resolve exceptions, missing information, and policy deviations.
  • Identify and support process enhancements and automation opportunities in the T&E workflow.
  • Process vendor invoices accurately, with correct coding and required approvals.
  • Handle vendor communication, including inquiries and payment-related issue resolution.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities by preparing accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations for AP and T&E accounts.
  • Maintain clear, organized, and reliable financial documentation.
  • Help improve AP workflows through process optimization and automation.
  • Prepare and review reports on T&E spending patterns and compliance measures.
  • Share insights with management on expense performance and improvement opportunities.
  • Support internal and external audits by supplying documentation and analytical support.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings AP experience, especially in expense-report review and compliance, along with strong communication, accuracy, and the ability to manage several tasks in a fast-moving environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or travel and expense operations.
  • Hands-on experience in AP work, especially T&E report review and compliance oversight.
  • Comfort using emerging technology and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, reporting, and automation.
  • Experience with Navan, Tipalti, or Intacct is considered an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work well across internal and external stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Proficiency with financial systems, Google Workspace, and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
