Role overview
This position sits within the Accounting and Operations function and focuses on keeping financial records accurate, processing transactions efficiently, and supporting adherence to regulatory obligations.
The role covers accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, assistance with financial reporting and audits, and support for month-end and year-end close activities.
Key responsibilities
- Help maintain complete and accurate financial records, along with local regulatory reporting documents.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable activities, ensuring transactions are completed correctly and on time.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and regulatory submissions.
- Ensure that transaction processing for remittances, loans, deposits, trade finance, and treasury operations is completed accurately and within deadlines.
- Support the rollout and monitoring of operational policies and procedures.
- Track important operational metrics and performance indicators, and report on them as needed.
- Follow all applicable banking regulations and internal controls.
- Assist in spotting, evaluating, and reducing operational risks.
- Stay current on industry practices and regulatory expectations.
- Maintain the required quality standards in customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Keep transaction and operational records well-organized and up to date.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant brings 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting or banking operations, holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, and is comfortable using accounting software and the MS Office suite. A solid grasp of accounting principles and banking processes is also required.
