Role Overview

The Accounting Officer will play a crucial role in managing financial operations contributing to South Australia's clean energy future. Responsibilities span accounts receivable, expense management, procurement governance, and financial administration, ensuring processes are accurate, efficient, and compliant.

This hands-on position involves collaborating across departments to improve processes and deliver superior financial results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee credit card and employee expense systems, including card management, expense validation, reporting, and ongoing improvements
  • Assist with accounts receivable functions such as invoice processing, collections, reporting, and resolving customer inquiries
  • Provide procurement governance support by onboarding vendors, managing supplier pre-qualification, creating purchase orders, and monitoring compliance
  • Maintain financial controls, support process enhancement initiatives, and ensure excellent stakeholder service to uphold financial governance and operations

  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining accuracy
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities with a customer-centric, proactive approach
