Accounting Assistant - Financial Control

About the Role

Join SHL's global finance team as an Accounting Assistant focused on Financial Control and play a key role in global accounting activities. This position offers valuable exposure to financial control, reporting, and process enhancement within a multinational setting. You will contribute to accurate financial record-keeping, strengthen internal controls, and provide dependable financial data. Collaborate with experienced finance professionals and support initiatives aimed at increasing operational efficiency and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Support accounting processes related to payroll and external third-party expenses.
• Assist in managing transfer pricing and intercompany accounting tasks.
• Prepare and reconcile accruals, prepayments, and tax-related accounts.
• Handle accounting for fixed and intangible assets.
• Contribute to P&L and balance sheet analysis and reporting efforts.
• Participate in finance process improvements and systems-related projects.
• Help with audit activities, regulatory compliance, and maintaining financial controls.
• Work in coordination with Finance, FP&A, Procurement, and Accounts Payable departments.

Qualifications and Skills

• CA or ACCA qualified accountant, with strong accounting and reconciliation capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience within a multinational organization.
• Understanding of IFRS standards and accounting regulations.
• Involvement in finance transformation initiatives.
• Experience in intercompany and transfer pricing accounting.
