Role Overview

We are searching for a meticulous and systematic Accounting Assistant / Financial Accountant to aid in managing financial processes, record maintenance, and accurate financial reporting. This position revolves around keeping sound financial documents, generating reports, supporting reconciliations, and ensuring all practices comply with accounting standards and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain precise accounting records and manage general ledger transactions.
  • Execute preparation and processing of journal entries, invoices, payments, receipts, and other financial paperwork.
  • Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts and balance sheets.
  • Assist in closing activities at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
  • Generate financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
  • Track accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow movements.
  • Confirm that financial transactions are accurate and align with company accounting policies.
  • Provide assistance in budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial planning.
  • Keep track of fixed assets and depreciation schedules as required.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Analyze financial data to detect inconsistencies and suggest improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, financial regulations, and control procedures.
  • Organize financial records while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive data.
  • Collaborate across finance, operations, and other teams to further business goals.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to increase accounting process efficiency and enhance reporting precision.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related disciplines.
  • Solid grasp of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping methodologies.
  • Familiarity with financial statements, ledger accounting, and account reconciliation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office productivity tools.
  • Experience with accounting or ERP software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analytical methods.
  • Exceptional analytical and numerical aptitude with high attention to detail.
  • Capability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies accurately.
  • Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines successfully.
  • Maintains professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality when handling financial information.
  • Works effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Open to learning new accounting systems, technologies, and financial methods.
