Role Overview

The Accountant will be responsible for managing daily financial operations including transaction recording, ledger maintenance, and preparation of financial reports. Key activities include invoice handling, account reconciliation, cash flow monitoring, as well as assisting with budget creation and forecasts. The position ensures adherence to local accounting practices, tax laws, and company financial policies. It also involves aiding in both internal and external audits. Collaboration with management and other departments to provide financial insights that enhance cost management and decision-making is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain precise financial documentation and prepare accurate financial statements.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Process invoices and track cash flow effectively.
  • Support budget planning and financial forecasting activities.
  • Assist internal and external audit processes ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provide analytical support by examining financial data to detect patterns or anomalies.
  • Collaborate with different teams to aid in financial decision-making and cost control.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven ability to keep accurate financial records and reconciliation skills.
  • Familiarity with local accounting standards, tax codes, and compliance rules.
  • Competency with accounting software along with proficiency in Excel and other office tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail to detect discrepancies.
  • Organizational and multitasking skills suited to a fast-paced work environment.
  • Effective communication skills to interact across departments.
  • Educational background in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines; professional certifications are a plus.
  • Previous experience in finance or accounting roles, ideally within retail or commercial sectors.
