Job description
Role overview
We are looking for a commercially minded finance professional to join a growing finance team in a newly created position. The opportunity has come about through internal progression and is designed for someone who wants a broader remit than a standard month-end accounting role.
This position offers a high level of visibility across the business, with involvement in finance operations, process improvement, strategic initiatives, and interaction with senior stakeholders. It is well suited to someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and contributing to overall business performance in a large, multi-site environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assess current finance operations and controls, then identify ways to strengthen and improve them.
- Examine financial risks, business patterns, and operational results to help guide decision-making.
- Work closely with colleagues across the organisation to improve efficiency and enhance reporting processes.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, system rollouts, and wider continuous improvement work.
- Prepare clear financial insights and practical recommendations for senior leadership.
What’s on offer
- A competitive bonus plan.
- Flexible working arrangements.
- A wellness allowance.
- An improved pension contribution and a full benefits package.
- Strong prospects for career growth.
- Exposure to senior leaders and work on important business projects.
Candidate profile
The employer is seeking a qualified accountant such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent background. Applicants with a solid finance or business foundation will also be considered.
The ideal person will have a commercial mindset, a proactive approach, and a genuine interest in solving problems and improving processes.
Additional information
This role is based in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland and is a full-time, onsite position.
