Role Overview

ACCEL International - Ajyal Center is an organization focused on education and rehabilitation services for people with special needs. The team is hiring an Accountant to support the finance function and work directly with the Finance Director. This position involves maintaining day-to-day accounting records and supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow summaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and track all accounts payable invoices.
  • Issue invoices to customers and students, then follow up until payment is collected.
  • Prepare and record monthly journal entries.
  • Support accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist in preparing monthly management reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries.
  • Carry out monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting tasks, including bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain accounting records in line with approved policies, procedures, and IFRS requirements.
  • Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Keep subsidiary schedules for the general ledger up to date.
  • Use Microsoft Dynamics GP at an intermediate level or above, with version 10.0 or later.
  • Support the coordination of accounting functions and related programs.
  • Help prepare and monitor budgets.
  • Work with external auditors during annual audit preparation.
  • Prepare tax returns, withholding tax filings, and VAT-related documentation.
  • Contribute to improvements in accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce.
  • At least 4 years of experience in accounting, budgeting, planning, performance measurement, and expenditure analysis.
  • Intermediate-level experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, version 10.0 or higher.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Ability to manage work accurately in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong organization and teamwork skills.

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent accounting experience is required. The candidate must also have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP version 10.0 or above.

Language Requirement

Fluency in both Arabic and English, including speaking and writing, is required.

Work Environment

This is a full-time onsite position based in Dhahran, Eastern, Saudi Arabia.
