Accountant

Role overview

Jawaker is seeking an Accountant to strengthen its finance function and handle routine accounting work that keeps daily operations running smoothly.

Core responsibilities

• Keep accounting ledgers current and record financial transactions with care.
• Handle the preparation and checking of invoices, payment entries, receipts, and expense claims.
• Contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Perform reconciliations for bank statements and vendor balances.
• Help prepare paperwork and support processes related to tax, VAT, and compliance.
• Work with internal departments and outside suppliers on finance-related coordination.
• Make sure all accounting work is accurate, well arranged, and properly supported by records.

Required background

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a similar discipline is needed.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in accounting or finance is required.
• Hands-on exposure to accounting software such as Odoo or QuickBooks is expected.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office is necessary.
• Good organizational habits and time management abilities are important for this role.
• Clear communication in English is required.

Preferred experience

• Prior involvement with VAT, tax filings, or regulatory compliance work is an advantage.
• Experience in the gaming technology sector is considered a plus.
